We’re thrilled to have Amani Ahmed join our board this year. She brings a passion for social impact and savvy about marketing to Gen Z’ers.
Here are 3 things to know about Amani:
- At age 26, she has amassed some pretty enviable credentials. She graduated from Duke University with a degree in Visual and Media Studies, a certificate in Information Science, and a minor in Arabic. Oh, and she’s currently attending Harvard Law School.
- She’s a huge documentary fan—she especially likes true crime stories—and serves on the board of Duke’s Center for Documentary Studies.
- She cares deeply about social impact and is a volunteer extraordinaire. In high school she worked in a soup kitchen and tutored homeless children, and at Duke she worked with Afghan and Syrian refugee families as part of the university’s refugee resettlement program.
