Join Us in Welcoming Tara Emad!

We are excited to announce that Egyptian actress Tara Emad has joined the ConnectHER Film Festival’s distinguished panel of judges. She will also serve as a ConnectHER Global Ambassador, raising the festival’s profile in Egypt and throughout the Arab world. Emad has appeared in many films and TV series since her 2014 breakthrough role in the hit series Saheb El Saada. Her upcoming projects include, Tahqeeq (Investigation), El Gawahergy (The Jeweler) and the Arabic version of the successful American series Why Women Kill, whose two seasons were released in 2019, and 2021.

I am honored and grateful to be one of the judges for this year’s ConnectHER Film Festival. To be able to shed light on topics that matter to me as a woman, and to have the opportunity to help other women around the globe to have their voices heard is a great privilege that I won’t take lightly.
The ConnectHER Film Festival amplifies the voices of women and girls through film. We have received more than 1,250 original films from young filmmakers from 60 countries and have awarded more than $175,000 in scholarships.
