Give Afghan girls an education. and transform their lives.

Afghanistan is ranked one of the 10 worst places in the world for girls to get an education, according to a report by the One Campaign. One bright spot is the Afghan Institute of Learning run by our project partner Dr. Sakena Yacoobi. When the Taliban forbid girls in her native Afghanistan to attend school, Yacoobi set up 80 secret schools for girls. After the Taliban fell, she created a network of high-quality schools to help educate her fellow Afghans in a country devastated by war. In recognition of her work, Yacoobi has won the Opus Prize and the Wise Prize for Education, and she is a Skoll Social Entrepreneur. Support this project and send 25 girls to one of her award-winning schools.
