CONNECTHER FILM FESTIVAL
Empower youth to tell stories through film about global women's issues and catalyze change. Through the ConnectHER Film Festival, students submit original short films focused on critical women’s issues such as girls’ education, ending violence against women, poverty & economic independence, and authentic beauty/body image.

Do you want to change the world? One of the most powerful ways to do that is to empower women and girls. Come to a special ConnectHER screening in honor of International Day of the Girl. Let's celebrate stories about girls worth telling! Come join the conversation!
Sign up to attend a virtual screening at www.connecther.org/attend.

What Others Say About It

In Bukavu, DR Congo, 50 girls, boys, and parents gathered to watch films about “Girls in Tech.” “We invited a Congolese girl who is very active in tech,” said event host Gentil Ishara. “So other attendees benefited from the opportunity to ask her questions about her activities. Girls shared their stories, and we had a very interesting debate with different points of view. Participants really appreciated it and did not want to leave after the screening.”
—Gentil Ishara, DR Congo

“It was such a fun and empowering night filled with lots of positivity,” said host Meghan Montminy. "When it came to the screening, everyone was in awe of the filmmakers’ talent and definitely left the event feeling inspired. We fundraised $500 for ConnectHER." Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of something bigger than myself. I have never felt so inspired or so capable in my life!”
—Meghan Montminy, United States

Girl Scouts: Our DOTG screening received great feedback. One Girl Scout troop leader who attended said she planned to play all the films we screened for her whole troop, and two other attendees asked if we would be doing another screening. We would absolutely love to continue to partner in the future.
